Meatzza is a delicious fusion of meatloaf and pizza, offering a low-carb flavor explosion. You get all the savory, comforting goodness of meatloaf combined with the cheesy indulgence and endless topping possibilities of pizza. It’s the ultimate choice for when you can’t decide between the two!
This recipe was inspired by @NewDawn7411 and @CaryKelly11 from "X"
Prepare a meat "crust" with a meatloaf-like mixture of:
2 pounds ground beef
2 eggs
1 cup minced onion
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. dried basil
Thoroughly mix the ingredients. Spread the meat mixture into a 9 x 13 pan, spreading some up the edges of the pan, and bake in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for about 15 minutes or until meat is firm and set.
Remove from the oven and drain off juices. Spread 1/2 cup No-Sugar-Added tomato sauce on top.
Now is your chance to get creative and customize your meatzza with favorite toppings. We like Mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce to hold the toppings together and the again on top of the assembled dish. This traditional version has pepperoni, homemade sausage, mushrooms, and olives. Double cheese, please! Make it your own and go wild with your choices.
Bake in a 400 degree oven until cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to brown. This is definitely a dish to be eaten with a fork.
